ITINERARY- For two days tour






Two days Tour itinerary, I have 4 different suggestions, please have a look and select the one you like most! 

First option ( easy tour )
Day1-7.00am

After breakfast, you will take tour with Angkor guide to Pre Rup,Banteay Samre then you will go out to some of distant temples, the beautiful temple of Banteay Srei which was built in the second half of the 10th century and dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva. Banteay Srei basically means "citadel of the women" and Banteay Srei has some of the best carvings of all the temples which it is well-known as the jewels of khmer art. Lunch break.

After lunch the tour will continue to Ta Som, Neakpoan and Preah Khan

Day2-5.00am
You will start with a tour to Angkor temples. First of all you will visit the magnificent temple of Angkor Wat. Angkor Wat was built in the early to mid 12th century. King Suryavarman constructed Angkor Wat into a huge temple like a mountain with 9 towers which can be seen from a far.it was dedicate to Hindu God of World protector Vishnu and his tomb after he died.

After Angkor Wat tour, you will continue to Banteay Kdei, Ta Prohm the jungle temple with big tall trees grow on the ruin temple of late 12 century, the ancestor temple of the great king Jayavarman VII who dedicated to his mother.

Angkor Thom Complex, which is the Mahayana Buddhist temple.it was built in the late 12th to early 13th century during Jayavarman VII reign. Angkor Thom is a 9 km square walled and moat the royal city and was the last capital city of the Angkorean empire. First of all you will see the victory gate of the Angkor thom, the elephant terrace, the royal palace wall enclosure, Phimeanakasa and leper king terrace, then to the major Bayon temple, the state Buddhist temple was built in the centre of the city with many smiling faces of Buddhisatva Lokesvara or the smiling faces of king Jayavarman VII himself.

Second Options

Day1-7.00am-Rolous country side and local Market+floating village
After breakfast, you will start tour to out of the city to Rolous district then i will drive you in the village of country side,then stop at their local market to see how they spend daily life,selling vegetables,fishes ,Cambodian snack...

Kompoung Pluk floating village on the great lake Tonle Sap: you will take motor boat trip to fishermen village and enjoy to see their houses which is build on stilts about 6 to 10 meters above the ground level to avoid flooding during the Monsoon season. Have lunch break at the local restaurant.

Rolous group-Bakong, Preah Ko and Lo Lei.

Day2-5.00am

Third Options ( adventure tour, escape from the crowds)

Day1-The adventure Tour to remote temples in deep forest -7.00am

After breakfast at your hotel, i will bring you out to some of temples in the deep forest with a few tourists, Koh Ker temples group and Beng Mealea temple, it is suitable for the tourist who wish to avoid the crowds temples at Angkor.

Day2-5.00am

Four options

Day 1- Banteay Srei+ the river of 1000 Lingas + Big Buddha statue and Phnom Kulen waterfall

I will take you to Banteay Srei, small temple built on low base platform which very easy to walk around for old people. Banteay Srei is one of the most beautiful temple in Angkor.

Phnom Kulen, the holy mountain of Cambodia and it is birth place of the great Angkor empire. You will see 1000 Lingas carved on river bed about thousand years ago, Angkor king made it to convert fresh water to sacred water by Hinduism believe.

Big reclining Buddha carved in from big rock in 16 century.

And finally, the great waterfall to swim for good luck and refreshing.

On the way back you will see two more beautiful temples East Mebon and Pre Rup.

Day2- Angkor Wat+Ta Prohm+ Bantean Kdei+ Ta Nei and Preah Khan+ Bayon

Pre-dawn at 5.00am to sunrise at Angkor Wat. In the early morning after sunrise most people leave Angkor Wat then it is the best time to explore temple with less crowded.

After Angkor wat tour, It time to explore the jungle temple! To Ta Prohm, Ta Nei and Preah Khan. These late 12 century Mahayana Buddhist temple are not much conservation and restoration so the temples are ruin and overgrown with big tall trees and vine. It look like great nature claim human building after people had abandoned it! They are low base temples not much steep step.

Bayon, the main temple of Great Angkor King Jayavarman VII, he designed and built this temple differently from previous kings, not Hindu temple anymore but the first Mahayana Buddhist state temple. Most of the 49 towers carved as Big smiling faces of Buddha or of himself, the smiling of compassion or Mona Lisa of the east!
